Announced at CES 2023 earlier this year, the Samsung ViewFinity S9 is an upcoming monitor looking to impress, and it certainly looks like it will. Samsung advertises that this monitor is designed for creative professionals, apparently as a direct competitor to the Apple Studio Display – which has a 5K retina display at 5120×2880.

So straight into the important details. Coming in at 27″ – just like the Studio Display, the Samsung ViewFinity S9 has a 5K display, meaning the same 5120×2880 resolution. So that’s even more reason to believe that Samsung is looking to take on Apple (a long-standing rivalry) with this creative professional monitor.
